How to Ensure the Best Yoga Practice Possible


Yoga can be an incredible workout for the body and mind, but everyone has days when they're just not feeling the flow. Certain things pop up in day-to-day doings that can't be controlled, but taking these three tips to heart will ensure a solid practice.

Don't go on a full stomach: Heading into a yoga class after eating is going to hinder your practice. In order for your body to twist and hop easily into all those crazy poses, the stomach can't be digesting a big burger. Lots of yoga teachers agree that a vegetarian diet complements yoga. If you're not looking to give up meat for good, just do your best to not eat any right before a class. There's nothing worse than trying to get situated in Bow Pose on a full belly. Yoga teacher Kristin McGee suggests eating an hour before practice.
