Yoga can be an incredible workout for the body and mind, but everyone
has days when they're just not feeling the flow. Certain things pop up
in day-to-day doings that can't be controlled, but taking these three
tips to heart will ensure a solid practice.
Don't go on a full stomach: Heading into a yoga class after
eating is going to hinder your practice. In order for your body to twist
and hop easily into all those crazy poses, the stomach can't be
digesting a big burger. Lots of yoga teachers agree that a vegetarian
diet complements yoga. If you're not looking to give up meat for good,
just do your best to not eat any right before a class. There's nothing
worse than trying to get situated in Bow Pose on a full belly. Yoga
teacher Kristin McGee suggests eating an hour before practice.
